Miami Airport
**Disclaimer: I know my Spain Study-Abroad was poorly documented via my blog. I therefore PROMISE to blog religiously from Honduras.
My first entry of my trip to Honduras is coming to you from the Miami Airport, Gate D-32! Yay! So far today has been filled with many little ‘moments…’ My flight left this morning at 6am, and given the sleep deprivation and Katy Perry singing ‘Part of Me’ on my in-flight radio, I got a little emotional. I’m on my way back to one of my favorite places on Earth for the THIRD time. Many people don’t always get the chance to return to places they’ve visited, but I have had those opportunities. I’ve been blessed. And I cannot WAIT to get there!
Furthermore, anyone will tell you that I believe in signs…maybe even somewhat irrationally. Like, if I see several black crows in one day, I’m EXTREMELY cautious and might not drive anywhere. But, my lucky number 11 has appeared multiple times today already! AKA: This trip is going to be absolutely amazing. Please see my 11 obsession occur below, starting with my seat number!
(In mentioning my seat, I will also say that I had a lovely chat with a man headed to Guatemala. I even translated for him to the flight attendants. ¡Amo espaƱol! Our chat included him asking why exactly I wasn’t going to Guatemala. Apparently that’s somewhere I need to be, too.
Also, I have a track record of seeing famous people in airports. Today I saw the bff from Juno!
And finally, a BIG thank you to everyone who helped me fund this trip and donated soccer clothes, school supplies, and medicine. Ya’ll are amazing and I’m lucky to be so strongly supported. Shout out to Crawford United Methodist Church in Dinwiddie. :)
