Estoy en Sevilla!

So after 48 hours without sleep...on various planes, coffee fixes, and excitement highs, I am finally in Seville! And let me tell you: this city is WELL worth the 13 hour trip. I have never been so enchanted with a place in my life; the culture, the scenery, and the language all fit my quirky yet empathetic and obsessed-with-learning self.

So before I get into my Seville experiences, I need to divulge what happened on the plane from Madrid. My amazing roommate and I (lets just call her gorgeous) were sitting at our gate when who walks by? None other than the famous Gilmore Girl, Alexis Bledel! So of course I become overcome with the incessant need to take a picture with her--because let's face it: I will never become famous because my career will involve something like studying the birthing instincts of chimpanzees in South Africa, so the closest I will ever get to fame will be by taking pics with cool people like Alexis.

So I waited for five minutes after spotting her, followed her through the length of our terminal until she turned around, and then suddenly freaked out about taking a picture with her. So what was my next move? I decided that she had probably grown to hate random people taking pictures with her while she's on vacation with her boyfriend (they were holding hands), so I walked swiftly back to my seat at gate #41 to stage a secret zoomed-in photo shoot.

She leisurely walked back past my gate with her bf, and while pretending to look through pics on my camera, I snapped this beauty:

Oh, and then the crazy part? She ended up sitting four rows behind me on the airplane! But kids, the moral of the story is that I am officially a HUGE creeper. But alas I do not care! For my work is complete. :)

And as you can probably tell by my blog title I am a huge believer in serendipity and in 'signs'. My favorite number is 11, which means that 11:11 is an incredibly special time of day for me (A.M. or P.M.) when I make a wish! So please see below a photo of the 'departures' board displaying the time that MOST flights were expected to board.

Coincidence? I think not. This semester is gonna be absolutely amazing. :) I'm embracing la serendipia!
